  • We have an SWP for this. The SWP does not include all of the allowed scenarios. One such scenario is allowing members to use compressed air system to blow off chips in wood (i.e. maps) that otherwise is very hard to impossible to blow it out any other way. Other ways have been proven to be impossible as it breaks the product. Other similar scenarios are acceptable.
  • there is discussion by the Safety Committee on what should be permitted as of 2024-10. Ttenbergen (talk) 12:28, 2024 October 15 (CDT)

  • Only use the compressed air gun to clean after you have used other methods (vacuum, brush, etc) to remove most of the dust/debris.
  • Do not point compressed air guns at skin because they can cause injection injuries and infections. Do not use compressed air guns to clean clothing.
