Use of North Forge Flammables Cabinets

Flammables Cabinets are double-walled metal cabinets where any substances that pose a "Flammable" hazard must be stored. Members must not store flammables in their Rentable member storage or anywhere other than in one of the flammables cabinets.

Any flammables stored in here must be be labelled with the member's name. If it isn't a household grade item with safety information on the bottle, you must supply a MSDS for the substance.

and dispose of it appropriately. Empty spray cans can not go into the household garbage and need to be dropped off at a 4R depot [1].

We go through this occasionally and purge containers that are labelled for people who are no longer members, or that seem dried out or empty; generally posting on Slack to warn of any imminent purge.
