New members need a Safety Orientation before they can use the fablab independently.
The safety orientation provides important information like:
- Location of the safety manual, bulletin boards, and ways to get safety information (like on Slack and http://northforge.ca/safety )
- The location of important safety equipment like PPE, spill kits, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and eye wash stations
- North Forge policies:
- Substance Abuse policy
- Harassment Policy
- PPE policy
- Hazardous materials policy
- Emergency Evacuation procedures
- Housekeeping and storage procedures:
- Waste disposal (Garbage)
- Clean Work Table Policy (tmp)
