Flammables Cabinets are double-walled metal cabinets where any substances that pose a "Flammable" hazard must be stored. Members must not store flammables in their Rentable member storage or anywhere other than in one of the flammables cabinets.

Any flammables stored in here must be be labelled with the member's name and date. If it isn't a household grade item with safety information on the bottle, you must supply a WHMIS label and MSDS for the substance.

If your flammables container is empty you need to remove it from North Forge and dispose of it appropriately. Empty spray cans cannot go into the household garbage and need to be dropped off at a 4R depot [1].

We go through this occasionally and purge containers that are labelled for people who are no longer members, or that seem dried out or empty; generally posting on Slack to warn of any imminent purge.
