The Hierarchy of Controls is a method to reduce and control risk in the workplace. North Forge encourages members to use the hierarchy of controls to plan their work processes.

SAFE Work Manitoba resources for employers
Many North Forge members are employers: they either formally or informally contract the services of others to perform tasks. As a result, they have certain obligations under the 2022 Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations. SAFE Work Manitoba has resources to help employers meet their obligations, including a small business safety toolkit for businesses with 1-19 workers.
