Elevator Instructions

The following apply to both the Front elevator and Back elevator. See those pages for additional instructions.

To operate the elevator:

  • make sure both inner and outer gates or doors are closed
  • press and hold the UP or DOWN button to move the elevator

The back elevator is used to access the basement, first floor, and third floor. To operate it, make sure both gates or doors are closed. Press and hold the UP or DOWN button to move the elevator.

Note that it is possible to get stuck in the basement if someone moves the elevator. If you're working in the basement:

  • Do not close the exterior doors.
  • Bring a cell phone with you
  • Post on Slack letting people know that you're working in the basement and to contact you if they need to use the elevator
