It is possible to get stuck in the basement if someone moves the elevator.

If you are accessing the basement basement:

Do not close the doors of the Back elevator once you get to the basement; this will make sure the elevator stays in the basement
Bring a cell phone with you so that others who need to access the basement can contact you

If you are going to be in the basement for more than 5 minutes:

Post on the #general channel in Slack to let people know that you're working in the basement and to contact you if they need to use the elevator

In case of fire do not use the elevator!

Escape via door on other side of elevator; that door is alarmed and leads to an area of the building not occupied by North Forge, so it must not be used under normal circumstances.
